Irony doesn't get bigger than this. Life of Pi Hindi Dubbed Torrent is a 2012 Indian drama film directed by Ang Lee, based on the novel by Yann Martel. It tells the story of an Indian boy from Pondicherry who gets stuck on a boat with a Bengal tiger for 227 days. The movie is beautifully done, and without doubt one of the best pieces of cinematography you'll ever see. And if that wasn't enough, not only are there gorgeous landscapes all over the place, but it's also got an awesome soundtrack to boot! But alas... as great as this movie is, it is beset by a strange irony. You see, Life of Pi Hindi Dubbed Torrent wasn't supposed to be made into a movie. In fact, if you were to ask Yann Martel himself about why he wrote the book in the first place, he'd say: "I was trying to answer the question: Is it better to have faith or not to have faith? I wanted to write a companion piece – The Piano Tiger – where Pi's adult self tries to work through what happened by retelling the story with an older and wiser Pi. He can't do it, so he finally throws it in the fire. And Pi says, "I will never write about this again." But I got a very odd letter from an Indian producer asking me if I would be interested in making it into a movie. So one day I said yes, having never considered myself a good fit for the material. But I'm glad I did." Danny has no idea what he's gotten himself into when his parents tell him that there's a huge storm coming and that they need him to go to his uncle's house. When Danny arrives at Uncle Pi's house, he gets nervous because Uncle Pi has the face of an angry tiger. A few days later the storm arrives and a wave crashes into Uncle Pi's house. The next day, they find out that Uncle Pi's house has drifted to another island. They see an enormous tiger on the island, but they don't know if it's real or not because it could be just their imagination after losing everything. When the air runs out in their small boat, they realize that there is only enough room for one of them to survive. After many days, Pi (the tiger) eventually saves Pi (the boy) from a sinking boat and later kills him for food when he starts to get sick. They think they are surrounded by other islands but, in reality, there is nothing around them except for ocean for hundreds of miles. Pi and the tiger eventually drift together and Pi has to train him to not eat him. After a couple of weeks, they run out of food and Pi kills the tiger out of mercy. Later on, they find a floating boat with supplies and Pi realizes that he is still alive after all. Life of Pi Hindi Dubbed Torrent has grossed $136,548,769 worldwide as of September 2013.
